I was looking for a new hair salon after not cutting my hair for the last year due to the pandemic and being able to work from home. I know, no excuse! Nevertheless, I found this little gem of a place while looking up hair salons near me and I cannot say nothing but great things about this place! Mario Salazar is awesome and I highly recommend trying this salon out!!

Maria and Mario did great job with my color and cut. I’m super particular bc I have curly hair, and Mario did great with cut and layering. Cute salon that is super clean and following all precautions during pandemic.

Mario has been giving me consistently excellent haircuts for over the last 15+ years. As someone with long hair, I feel so comfortable going to Mario and just saying, let’s freshen it up, knowing that he’ll know exactly what to do. Mario not only knows what I want but also knows what my hair needs, and I would recommend him to everyone!

Any hairstyle I wanted..Mario and María Elena succeeded! From long hair with beach waves curls...Maria Elena was able to "read" my mind and i walked out of there feeling "beachy". Then when I ruined my hair with the wand, Mario gave me a hairstyle that was "in style"!! The both of them taught me how to take care of my hair and how important it is to maintain and trim and introduced me to products I never knew existed!! I appreciate Mario and Mariaelena Salazar and need to schedule a "trim" soon!!!!!!! Xoxoxoxoxoxo

I absolutely LOVE my new haircut/style. Mario was recommended to me by my daughter who lives in Cypress! He is AWESOME. She booked me an appointment and I got up and drove 3 1/2 hours to see him. It was SO worth it!!! I will definitely do it again, I could not be happier 💗

I’m so glad I found this place! I originally brought my 9 and 10 year old girls in for “big girl hair cuts” (which were phenomenal...especially since one of our girls has extremely thick and difficult hair). Given how great the girls cuts were by Maria and Mario, I made the leap for myself. Maria is absolutely amazing! Love my cut every time. The location is cute and immaculate. The employees are super friendly. It’s a family owned business...which (being married to a small business owner) we love and definitely want to support. I’m so happy to have found The Hair Lab!
